Research Night for Parents/Guardians (Jan 11 & 14)
January marks the beginning of research season at High Rock. Mesopotamian civilizations, Ancient Egypt artifacts, and Great Greeks are projects that traditionally contribute to the sixth grade experience. We value inquiry and want to equip students with the tools they need to access and read accurate information. Because families are partners in the learning process, this year more than ever, we want to offer a chance to learn more about research at High Rock.
You are invited to Research Night - an overview of the skills sixth graders learn and practice during the course of the year. During this Zoom meeting, I will show families what students learn in class. There will be a chance to ask questions and to explore the research resources. Topics will include the following:
If you are interested, please RSVP here. You will be sent a Zoom link via email. I will be recording the sessions for families who are not able to attend.
The two nights are Monday, January 11 at 7:00 p.m.
Thursday, January 14 at 7:30 p.m.
